When you buy a Morava Modern plan set, you buy a license to use the design. You don't buy the copyright, which stays with CAD ART studio. This license is part of your contract with us, together with our Terms of Sale.

1. Definitions

  • We or the studio: CAD ART studio, the licensor. Full details are on our Legal Notice.
  • You: the buyer named on the invoice.
  • The design: the drawings and renderings we deliver, and the design they show, in every format, including any mirrored set.
  • A build: one detached home, with its own outbuildings, on one site.
  • Your team: the licensed professionals, builders, consultants, lenders and authorities involved in your build.

Copyright in every design stays with CAD ART studio. The designs are protected in Serbia and, through the Berne Convention, in the US, the UK, Canada, Australia, the EU and most other countries. Your license gives you the rights described below.

3. Study Set

A Study Set lets you get to know a design and decide whether it's right for you. You may:

  • study it, check feasibility and prepare a budget;
  • share it with advisers, lenders and builders to get quotes and early feedback, including from a professional licensed where you build.

A Study Set is not for construction and comes with no build license, so you may not use it to apply for permits or to build. If you buy the Complete or Studio Set of the same design within 12 months, we credit 100% of the Study Set price toward it.

4. Complete Set and Studio Set

Your license is non-exclusive and perpetual, for one build on one site. Under it you may:

  • print, copy and share the drawings, on paper or digitally, with your team and with the authorities, as often as the build needs;
  • have the design adapted for that build, as described in section 5.

Please tell us the address of your site by email before you apply for a building permit. We use it only to record your license, and we never publish it.

5. Adapting the design for your build

Every design needs local adaptation, and this license allows it. You may authorize the licensed professionals, builders and consultants on your team to modify the drawings for your build, including to:

  • convert them to imperial units;
  • design the structure and foundations for your site, soil and climate;
  • design the heating, plumbing, electrical and energy provisions;
  • adapt the design to your site and to the rules where you build;
  • prepare the documents needed for permits and construction.

As the author, the studio consents to these changes for the build your license covers. Your professionals own their own contributions, but the underlying design remains the studio's, and the adapted drawings may be used for the same single build only. Your professional may add their own title block, provided the drawings keep this credit: "Original design: Morava Modern by CAD ART studio, Serbia".

6. What this license doesn't allow

Without a further license or our written permission, you may not:

  • build the design, or an adapted version of it, more than once;
  • resell, sublicense, publish or upload the drawings or files, including to plan marketplaces or file-sharing sites;
  • claim that you or anyone else is the author of the design;
  • use the files to train AI models or to create competing plan products;
  • remove copyright notices or the credit line.

7. More than one build

To build the same design again, buy an additional build license, priced at about a quarter of the Complete Set price for that design, as listed on the Pricing page. For several builds, for example as a developer, ask us for a developer license by quote.

8. Selling your land before you build

If you sell your land before construction starts, you may transfer your license once, together with the land. Tell us by email who the new owner is. They take over the license on the same terms, and you stop using the files. Otherwise, the license can't be transferred.

The license places no limits on your home itself: you're free to live in it, rent it out or sell it.

9. Custom designs

For a custom design, you receive an exclusive license to build it once, on your site, and the studio keeps the copyright. The studio may show renderings of the design in its portfolio, never with your name or the address of your site. If you'd rather it stayed private, tell us and we'll leave it out.

10. Photographs of your home

Your home is yours to enjoy. You may photograph it and publish or sell the photographs. A credit to Morava Modern is always appreciated, never required.

11. If the license is broken

If the design is used in a way this license doesn't allow, the license ends for that use, and we may claim damages, including at least the applicable license fee for each unlicensed build. We'd always rather talk first, so please get in touch if you're unsure whether something is allowed.

12. Local suitability

This license lets you use and adapt the design; it doesn't promise that the design suits your site or the rules where you build. That is the work of the professional licensed where you build, as explained in section 4 of our Terms of Sale. Your statutory rights are not affected.

13. Law

This license is governed by the same law as our Terms of Sale (section 17), including the protections you keep as a consumer.
