The design
A white two-story villa drawn in thin horizontal lines, with one round porthole window among the straight edges.
Collina, Italian for hill, is a white villa drawn in thin horizontal lines. Slim roof and floor slabs project past the walls, dark-stained timber marks the piers, and a round porthole window adds the one curve to a straight composition.
A straight central stair divides the ground floor into day and night. On one side, a 38 m² (409 ft²) living and dining room opens through wide sliding glass to the terrace, with a separate 14 m² (151 ft²) kitchen close by. On the other side are a 17 m² (183 ft²) bedroom with its own dressing room, a bathroom with a tub and a WC that doubles as the laundry. A ground-floor bedroom like this suits guests, a live-in parent or a main bedroom apart from the rest of the family.
Upstairs, a 32 m² (344 ft²) family lounge is the center of the level: a second living room for films and homework. Two bedrooms of 18 and 17 m² (194 and 183 ft²) and a bathroom share the floor, and a long balcony behind glass runs above the garden, joined by a side terrace.
