The design
Timber-look bands run up the piers, and one thin roof slab overhangs the whole house on wide eaves.
Linea is named for its lines: slim vertical bands of timber-look cladding on the piers, and one long horizontal roof slab that floats over the whole house on wide eaves. Between them, light render and large glazing keep the facade open.
The day and night halves of family life sit on separate floors. On the ground floor, living, dining and kitchen share one space that opens onto a covered terrace, the natural place for long lunches in the shade. A study or library sits apart from the noise and doubles as a guest room when family visits. A guest WC and a mechanical room are tucked away, and the integrated garage opens straight into the house, so wet evenings end indoors.
Upstairs, the principal bedroom has a walk-in closet and its own bathroom. Two further bedrooms each step out onto a balcony behind glass, and a family bathroom serves them both, so mornings can start with fresh air before anyone has come downstairs.
