The design
One level, two wings: living, dining and kitchen on one side, three bedrooms on the other, and no stairs anywhere.
Solana puts every room on one level and gives each part of the day its own wing. You arrive past the garage, leave coats in the entrance lobby, and the day wing opens ahead: about 80 m² (861 ft²) of living, dining and kitchen around a large island, with wide glazing to the garden.
The covered terrace sits in the angle of the plan, off the living area, under the broad flat-roof overhang. It is a few steps from the kitchen and looks over the lawn, so meals move outside from spring to fall.
The bedrooms are in a separate wing of about 70 m² (753 ft²), away from the kitchen, so early starts and late evenings don't disturb each other. The primary suite has its own bathroom with a tub and double basin, plus a wardrobe. Two more bedrooms share a second bathroom. A laundry closet, storage, a mechanical room and the single-car garage with internal access keep the practical side of the house together.
